This vacuum is amazing! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and it is so gross how much dust and hair I can pick up with this. It sucks up so well that I have to empty the canister a few times during vacuuming. Yes, that's a downfall....however it just shows that it's working SO well! As for the other reviewer saying she ran over her cord - it specially says that when you have the front "hair eraser" down you have to be careful because it's so strong and so close to the ground.
My review is that this vacuum is excellent! I'm so happy with my Bissell that I wouldn't consider anything else. |

| I've been "shopping" for a new vacuum for months...saving for a Dyson. Then I heard about the Bissell. I had run my old vacuum yesterday....this new Bissell arrived today and I tried it out after some minor assembly. WOW !!! I could NOT believe the amount of pet hair in the canister after just one room. I'm so impressed I've purchased another Bissell (with removable hand vac). Since I have MS this will be one vac for upstairs and one for downstairs. My only complaint was a bit of difficulty getting the hoses to slide together. |

| We have 3 dogs and 3 cats, we got this vacuum cleaner becouse of the pet hair eraiser. After a year of use I can say this vacuum doesn't hold up at all. The tubes are always getting cloged, the center peice is always fallling out. We have wall to wall carpeting in my house, it takes about 1 hour now to vacuum the living room. I am very disapointed in this vacuum and won't be buying a Bissell again. |

| I purchased this vacum after years of cursing my Dyson. I assumed to something called the pet hair eraser would be a good toll in picking up the hair left behind by a Saint Bernard.The first thing I noticed that the waste holding cup was vr small but decided to give it a try because if it picked p the hair,unlike the Dyson animal, it would be worth emptying more often. After on or two swipes on the carpet the cup not only filled up over the fill line but sucked the dirt and hair into the top holder. I went to empty in cup and noticed there is no way to take off the top holder to empty as a result I hd to put my hand into it and pull out the hair,which in turn spilled all the dirt onto he flooor I just cleaned.I did not think that it was possible to buy a vacume worse that the Dyson animal. I was wrong. It is very hard to empty and does not hold a lot. I guess the people who inventd it do not have any pets. It will go back to the store. I was the worse vacum I have ever ownwd. |

| I used this vacuum to clean up after 4 dogs. The first time I used it I thought WOW this thing is great. I just finished using it for the second time and it will be going back to the store. It worked great on my carpet but when I used it on my hardwood floors it started throwing the dirt back out. It took several attempts at getting all the dirt vaccumed up. I could have cleaned the floor quicker with a broom. Then I made the biggest mistake of all. I ran over the cord. Sparks starting flying everywhere and the breakers in my house were thrown. The roller brush is so powerful that it ate up the cord. I have run over cords before and nothing like this has ever happened. I would not give one of these vacuums to my worst enemy |
